pool party

Summer is heeeere! Our community pool opened a few weeks ago, but this was our first chance to get down there. It's so nice to be able to go swimming whenever we want and not have to do the work to keep up a pool. :D
I had a few errands to run before hand, so I wore my suit under my clothes.
I have such an issue with people wearing pajamas to the store. I understand early morning trips to the grocery store shouldn't require 30 minutes of prep time, but I pulled this together in about 5 minutes.
Tinted moisturizer, a bit of mascara, hair up, suit on, shorts, a top, a necklace, and sandals, and away we went.
What do you wear for your quick errands? Please don't tell me pajamas, pleeeeease. ;) It really takes no more effort to put shorts on than it does flannel pants covered in care bears and soft fluffy clouds.
Shorts: LOFT, Top: Ann Taylor (last worn here), Sandals: DV for Target, Necklace: Target

  1. i hate it when people wear PJ's outside of the house! Never ever for me. I toss on jeans and a tee or a knit skirt and a tank top to run to the store quickly. Usually my hair is in a ponytail...especially right now when I am in deep hair hatred. :P But other than that, you're totally right - it takes no more effort to put on CLOTHES than PJ's. grrr.

  2. I know what you mean about people wearing pajamas to the store. Especially adults wearing the little kiddie prints.

You look lovely in your bright top and necklace.

I usually wear jeans and a fitted T-shirt or shorts with a cute button up short sleeve top.

  3. Love, love, love those sandals!

My standard is jeans/capris, a knit top, and whatever sandals are by the door. :) Ooh, and a ring -- I rarely leave the house without of my favorite (usually chunky) rings on my finger.

  4. You got that necklace at Target??? Must... have...

Even I won't go out to the store without decent clothes and a little makeup. You never know who you will see. And even if you don't see anyone you know, what does it say about you?

  7. It takes more effort if I'm already wearing my care bears flannel pants! :)

I usually throw on a cotton dress. One piece, BAM. Add a belt and sandals and I'm a happy girl.

That shirt is a beautiful color on you!

  9. Ah, look at those legs, girl! You look great! I'd never leave the house without being properly dressed, although now, when it's summer, properly dressed might as well be a pair of khaki shorts and a tank top - or my favourite, a breezy maxi dress and flat sandals:)

  10. For quick errands in the heat, it's jeans, ballet flats and a woven top or t-shirt. Often I am running into stores and despite the heat, in the a/c I am cold. I've started adding some summer dresses for even faster grab and go options.
